How do ChatGPT Chat, Work and Codex differ?
Chat is a good place for everyday questions, brainstorming and prompts you paste into a conversation.
Work helps with longer tasks, such as researching a topic or creating a document, spreadsheet or presentation.
Codex is designed for coding and technical tasks, such as building a website or working with project files.

What AI tools can I use the skills in?
Our Codex skills are designed for OpenAI’s ChatGPT Work and Codex. Our Claude skills are designed for Anthropic’s Claude products. Check the Works with list on each product page for the specific supported apps and setup instructions.
If you use another AI tool that accepts files, you can give it the skill file and ask it to help adapt the skill for that tool. This may require changes and testing. Because our skills are built for OpenAI or Anthropic products, Everyday AI Made Simple cannot guarantee that the original or adapted skill will work in other tools.
Can I use prompts and skills in Claude browser or desktop?
Yes. For a prompt, add your details and paste it into a Claude conversation.
For a skill, choose a product that lists Claude browser/desktop under Works with. Add its skill file through Customize → Skills, then follow the product’s setup guide to get started.
Skills use Claude’s Code execution and file creation feature, which needs to be enabled in settings. If you use a work account, your organization manages access.
Do I need Claude Code?
No, not for an edition designed for Claude browser or desktop. Claude Code has a separate local setup. Check the product’s compatibility rather than assuming all Claude editions are interchangeable.
What if I don’t know which tool to use?
The finder lets you keep your task in view while comparing tools before showing a product. No email or purchase is required.
Does a download include an AI subscription?
No. Your AI account, required tools and any usage charges are separate. Read the product details and purchase FAQ before buying.
